Erik Lamela: 'We must be aggressive against Aston Villa'

Erik Lamela believes that Tottenham Hotspur must aim to put Aston Villa on the back foot when they meet on Saturday.

Erik Lamela has challenged Tottenham Hotspur to take the game to Aston Villa when the two sides meet at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

A disappointing goalless draw with Burnley last weekend left Tottenham's top-four hopes hanging by a thread, but Lamela believes that an attacking approach can help them extend their unbeaten home run in the Premier League to 11 games.

"We have the firepower in our team to win and, in front of our fans at White Hart Lane, I'm confident we can beat Aston Villa," the Argentine told the club's website.

"I hope we can do well against them. It was not a good game for us against Burnley last week but we can change that this weekend.

"I hope we can win so that we can finish the season well. We need to play very aggressively and try to get the three points."

Spurs are expected to be without both Kyle Walker and Hugo Lloris for the game.
