Harry Kane: 'Chelsea victory is for the fans'

Spurs striker Harry Kane dedicates their 5-3 victory over London rivals Chelsea to the fans and is hoping to improve even further throughout 2015.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has dedicated the team's victory over Chelsea this evening to the fans.

Spurs climbed up to fifth in the Premier League table courtesy of a 5-3 win over their London rivals in a pulsating derby at White Hart Lane.

Kane scored two goals and provided an assist in another impressive individual performance, and the young striker is keen to kick on further in 2015 following a breakthrough year.

"It shows how good we are. To score five against one of the best defences in the world shows how we're coming together as a team. It was a great win. We are probably unhappy we conceded the two extra goals but we are delighted with the win," he told reporters.

"I am just enjoying playing. Hopefully I can keep it up but the most important thing is the team winning. I hope 2015 is even better for myself, I always want to progress and do better and hopefully I can do that this year. We have taken to the way the manager wants us to play and it is working.

"It was a London derby for the fans, it means we go into the new year buzzing and it is good for us as players as well, it shows we can perform against them."

Kane has now scored 17 goals in all competitions this season.
