Tottenham Hotspur forward Gareth Bale has been named the Professional Footballers' Association Player and Young Player of the Year at an awards ceremony in central London this evening.
Bale becomes only the third player after Cristiano Ronaldo and Andy Gray to pick up both accolades in the same season.
The Spurs forward overcame stiff competition to pick up the main award, edging last season's winner Robin van Persie and Luis Suarez.
Manchester United striker Van Persie finished third, while Liverpool talisman Suarez was forced to settle for second place.
A strong field including Christian Benteke and Eden Hazard also contested the young player's crown, but Bale claimed the prize for the second time in his career.
The 23-year-old has starred in a more advanced role for Spurs this season, scoring 19 Premier League goals and 24 in all competitions.
