Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld says that the team feel 'frustrated and angry' following defeat to Manchester United.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld has claimed that the team need to channel their "frustrations and anger" into the next game following defeat to Manchester United.

Mauricio Pochettino's side were on the end of a 1-0 loss to the Red Devils at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

It was an unhappy return to action for Alderweireld, who was named in the starting lineup for the first time since October 15.

"It was lost in the minor details," Alderweireld told the club's official website. "If we could've made it 1-1 it would have been a different game. We have to learn. Everyone is sad because we felt we could get at least a point here, so that's frustrating.

"We have to put those frustrations and anger and use it in the right way. We can't change this now so we have to put it in the next game and get the three points at home."

Spurs currently sit fifth in the Premier League table, three points off fourth and 10 adrift of leaders Chelsea.
