Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-min insists that the knock he picked up on international duty with South Korea is "nothing serious".

Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-min has allayed any concerns of a serious injury following a scare while on international duty.

The South Korea international completed the full 90 minutes of his side's World Cup Qualifying win over the United Arab Emirates but missed training over the weekend due to a knock.

There were fears that Son could have been a doubt for Spurs' first game back after the international break - a home clash with Leeds United - but the 29-year-old has brushed off any injury fears.

Speaking to Korean media, via football.london, Son said: "Nothing serious. I had a knock. I wanted to join the training, but I tried to be careful (because of the knock)."

Son will therefore hope to be in contention to face Iraq in Tuesday's World Cup qualifier, with South Korea second in Group A behind Iran.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man has five goals and two assists to his name from 15 appearances in a Tottenham shirt this season.
