Sports Mole brings you team news for Spain's opening Olympic match against Japan.

Chelsea's Juan Mata has been named in a strong Spain starting XI for their Olympic opener against Japan this afternoon.

Also included are Manchester United's David de Gea and Barcelona duo Jordi Alba, fresh from success at Euro 2012, and Martin Montoya, while Chelsea's Oriol Romeu has to settle for a place on the bench.

Meanwhile, Japan have named just four players who play for club sides outside of their home country, three of whom ply their trade in the Bundesliga.

Spain: De Gea; Dominguez, Alba, Montoya; J Martinez, I Martinez, Koke, Isco; Adrian Lopez, Rodrigo, Mata

Japan: Gonda; Tokunaga, Sakai, Yoshida, Suzuki; Ohgihara, Higashi, Yamaguchi, Kiyotake; Nagai, Otsu
