Rodrigo reveals Spain excitement

Valencia's on-loan forward Rodrigo reveals his delight at being a part of the latest Spain squad.

Rodrigo has vowed to 'enjoy the experience' of being named in the Spain squad for La Roja's upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers against Slovakia and Luxembourg.

The 23-year-old received a call-up to the senior squad last week after impressing in the early stages of the season for Valencia, who he joined on loan from Benfica in the summer.

"I have come here to enjoy my football and the experience and to give it my all," he told AS.

"I didn't feel like I was waiting a long time for my call-up. Everyone knows it is difficult to get the call. Spain is one of the best national teams in the world, if not the best, and it's tough."

Rodrigo netted an incredible 15 goals in 16 games for Spain's Under-21 side between 2011 and 2013.
