Spain Coach Vicente Del Bosque sees Pirlo as key for Italy

Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque stresses the need to deal with Italy playmaker Andrea Pirlo ahead of next week's Group C opener

Spain boss Vicente Del Bosque had admitted Andrea Pirlo is the main man for Italy and will be key to their hopes at Euro 2012.

The Azzurri suffered a shock 3-0 defeat at the hands of Russia on Friday but Del Bosque insists that result will have no bearing on this summer's showpiece.

"Pirlo worries me," Del Bosque told reporters ahead of Spain's friendly against China.

"Yesterday Italy lost 3-0 to Russia but I would not give too much importance to this result.

"In the ranks of the Azzurri there are excellent players in every department, and we will need to take this into account."

Spain and Italy meet in the Group C curtain raiser on June 10.
