Oriol Romeu: 'Southampton making progress under Claude Puel'

Southampton midfielder Oriol Romeu says that his side are beginning to adjust to a different approach under new manager Claude Puel.

Southampton midfielder Oriol Romeu has insisted that his side are making progress under new coach Claude Puel.

Puel was brought in during the summer to replace Everton-bound Ronald Koeman, and Romeu believes that his teammates are now beginning to adapt to a new approach under their French boss.

"Everyone is enjoying training and learning the new system under the manager," Romeu told ProSoccerTalk.

"It was always going to take time to adapt to a different way of playing but with every game and every training session, our understanding and experience of that system improves."

The Saints are yet to win after three Premier League games this season, picking up just two points from a possible nine so far.
