Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has refused to rule out the possibility of his side securing Champions League football for next season.
The Saints have surprised many spectators this season by keeping themselves in the hunt for a European place for the majority of the campaign.
Currently, the team are six points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester United with eight games left to play.
"It is difficult because of distance in points," Koeman said in today's press conference. "If we win next two or three game it is still a fight. It's more for big teams, but we will try. We have eight finals and this season so far is fantastic and if European football then it will be a special one for the club."
This Saturday, the Saints will travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton.
