Sheffield Wednesday have reportedly expressed an interest in making a bid of around £12m for Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes this summer.
New Owls owner Dejphon Chansiri and manager Stuart Gray are said to have had discussions over transfer targets and budget and, according to the Daily Star, Rhodes is their number-one option.
The Scottish international, whose father Andy is the goalkeeping coach at Hillsborough, has netted 13 league goals this term after notching more than 50 in the two seasons since his move to Blackburn from Huddersfield Town.
Chansiri has signalled his intentions to return Wednesday to the Premier League by the club's 150th anniversary in 2017.
