Milan Mandaric: 'Dave Jones job is safe'

Sheffield Wednesday chairman Milan Mandaric insists that the future of Dave Jones is not in doubt despite a run of seven defeats in eight matches.

Sheffield Wednesday chairman Milan Mandaric has insisted that the club will get back on track sooner rather than later.

The Owls have lost seven of their last eight matches but Mandaric has claimed that there is no danger of manager Dave Jones being removed from his position.

Mandaric told BBC Radio Sheffield: "There is no reason to question Dave's position, he is a very good manager.

"We have to try to get back on track and I believe we will.

"Above all else, we need to have patience and have trust in one another."

Sheffield Wednesday are currently in 22nd place in the Championship.
