Sevilla president Jose Castro has insisted that there is no truth to rumours claiming that Unai Emery is under pressure at the Estadio Ramon.
Emery has led Sevilla to back-to-back Europa League titles, in addition to securing a fifth-place finish in last season's La Liga table.
The Red and Whites have only won one of their opening six league games this season, however, and Emery's position has been questioned by some.
Castro has poured cold water on such suggestions and said that Sevilla's head coach "guarantees success and good work".
"To think there are now doubts with the coach is outrageous and irresponsible. The Emery question makes no sense. He is our Coach and he has given us success and we are confident in him. He guarantees success and good work," Castro told AS.
"We know the league has started as it has but we have full faith that this is just going to be an anecdote. There are no doubts about anything. We believe the planning was superb and we have a great deal of confidence in Monchi.
"It's true we haven't started well and we have played badly but we're calm because the potential of the workforce is much higher than the standing in the table."
Sevilla are in Champions League action away to Juventus on Wednesday.
