Scotland manager Craig Levein believes that he still has the faith of the nation's supporters, despite making a disappointing start in World Cup qualifying.

Scotland manager Craig Levein has said that he believes that he still has the faith of the nation's supporters, despite making a disappointing start in World Cup qualifying.

Levein's men followed Saturday's goalless draw with Serbia by being held 1-1 by Macedonia at Hampden Park.

When asked if he had the backing of the Tartan Army, Levein told Sky Sports News: "I think so. I feel that this job was always going to be difficult, but things are going reasonably well.

"Today was a little bit disappointing - we did not pick up the [maximum three] points. But I look at the situation in the table - three teams on four points and we are on two.

"We are one win away from going top of the group."

Scotland's next match is away to Wales on Friday, October 12.
