Scotland Under-21s have rounded off their disappointing U21 Euro 2017 qualifying campaign with a 2-0 defeat in Macedonia.
The Scots, who finish second bottom of Group 3 following the reverse, were undone by two goals in the space of four minutes early in the first half.
Macedonia Under-21s got off to the perfect start when Kire Markoski found the net in the 18th minute - and things got even worse for Scot Gemmill's men when Enis Bardhi doubled the home side's lead moments later.
The hosts had the opportunity to make it three from the penalty spot shortly before half time following an error by Kyle Cameron, but Scotland goalkeeper Ryan Fulton proved equal to David Babunski's spot kick.
Macedonia kept the pressure up in the second period, and although they failed to add to their lead, the result was enough to see them top the final group standings by one point ahead of second-placed France.
