Chris Powell disappointed with Huddersfield Town draw at Rotherham United

Chris Powell criticises Huddersfield Town's inability to hold on for victory against Rotherham United.

Huddersfield Town manager Chris Powell has said he is disappointed that his team failed to hang on for victory against Rotherham United.

The Terriers looked to be in command with James Vaughan and Conor Coady firing them into a 2-0 lead, but two goals in as many minutes from Jonson Clarke-Harris and Lee Frecklington gave the Millers a draw.

However, Powell believes that Town should have been able to finish off the game despite the late fightback.

He told reporters: "We had to do what was needed to see the game out - we needed to play ugly. I'm so disappointed. A third would have killed it. We didn't take responsibility when marking and you must do that, whether you're two up or two down.

"For 88 minutes we were in complete control, but we entertain Bolton [Wanderers] in two days and we have to go again now. We got in positions and situations on the counter-attack where we could - and should - have got the third goal"

Huddersfield are five points above the Championship drop zone.
