Reports suggest that Roma are about to announce a two-year contract extension for Francesco Totti, which will keep him at the club until 2016.

Roma are expected to announce a two-year contract extension for club captain Francesco Totti later today.

The 36-year-old, who has been in negotiations over the past few weeks, is expected to sign with the Giallorossi until 2016.

President James Pallotta flew in from Boston this week to finalise terms with the man who has become a legend since breaking through from the youth ranks in 1992.

Totti scored his first goal of the season in Monday's 3-1 win over Parma.
