Sarr, 26, represented Watford between 2019 and 2023, scoring 34 times in 131 appearances, before making the move to Marseille during last summer's transfer window.
The forward scored five goals and registered six assists in 35 appearances for his French club last term.
Sarr would allegedly cost around £20m this summer, and Palace are believed to be one of a number of teams interested in signing him before the end of the transfer window.
