Real Sociedad: 'David Moyes is staying'

Real Sociedad reject speculation linking manager David Moyes with a return to the Premier League.

Real Sociedad have dismissed speculation that manager David Moyes will return to the Premier League this summer.

The former Manchester United boss guided Sociedad to a 12th-place finish in the La Liga table after taking charge of the team back in November.

Moyes has one year remaining on his contract at the Anoeta Stadium, but recent rumours have linked him with Newcastle United, Sunderland and West Ham United.

"Moyes has never spoken to us about this," Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay told the club's official website. "If anything, we have heard these rumours from the media. He has never suggested the possibility to go back to England.

"We made an important structural decision by bringing in David Moyes last year. He has been planning for next season since the month of January."

Sociedad finished their La Liga campaign with a 4-2 win away to Rayo Vallecano.
