David Moyes hoping to strengthen

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes reveals that he will attempt to add quality to his squad this summer.

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes has revealed that he is hopeful of a busy summer in the transfer market.

The Scot, who has played down reports that he will return to the Premier League before the start of next season, has also claimed that he will not only look at the English market, but all of Europe in an attempt to add quality.

"We're now out there looking, trying to strengthen the squad," Moyes told Sky Sports News. "The team wasn't good enough to finish higher than mid-table. We took over when the team was in relegation trouble so we had a good second half of the season.

"We played much better but we need to add a few more goals, some creativity and maybe a defender or two as well. We'll take it one step at a time and try to build a stronger team.

"There aren't many British players playing in Spain so if I can get some, great. We're looking at other countries as well - as long as they can improve the squad, it doesn't really matter where they're from - and hopefully we can add one or two to what we've got."

Moyes took charge of Sociedad last November and led the Basque club to a 12th-place finish in Spain's top flight.
