Vitesse have won the race to secure a loan deal for Real Madrid youngster Martin Odegaard.
The 19-year-old spent the whole of last season with Heerenveen, with the Norwegian making a total of 38 appearances for the Eredivisie club.
Odegaard had been tipped to make the switch to the Championship before the end of the month, but Real have instead insisted on another spell in the Dutch top flight.
The European champions have stated that Odegaard will return to the club next summer, with the player's contract at the Bernabeu expiring in 2021.
Odegaard has only made two first-team appearances since joining Real at the start of 2015.
