Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain reportedly agrees a bumper contract at Napoli worth £36.4m.

Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain has reportedly agreed a contract with Napoli that will net him a salary worth £36.4m.

The Argentina international has been heavily tipped to join the Italian outfit, despite reported interest from Arsenal, who are said to have initially agreed personal terms with the forward.

Higuain has agreed to sign a five-year contract worth £140,000 a week, pushing him up from his £64,000-a-week package at the Santiago Bernabeu, according to Goal.com.

Reports have claimed that a deal for Higuain to move to Rafael Benitez's side is close to completion.
