Napoli coach Rafael Benitez believes that Gonzalo Higuain will make an instant impact at the club.

Napoli coach Rafael Benitez has said that Gonzalo Higuain will be a successful signing for the Serie A club.

The 25-year-old Real Madrid striker is expected to complete his move to the Partenopei in the next few days after agreeing a five-year deal.

"Higuain is very strong and was a key player in a team like Real Madrid. I know him well and the staff at Real speak very highly of him," Goal.com quotes Benitez as saying.

"It is important to sign players like this if Napoli continue to progress and I am convinced he will score more goals than anybody else we have this season."

Napoli will pay Madrid £34.5m for the player.
