Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alphonse Areola has reportedly agreed to make the switch to Real Madrid.
Having come through the youth setup at the Parc des Princes, Areola has gone on to make a total of 97 appearances in all competitions, while also holding down the number-one position at the start of this season.
However, there has been talk of Keylor Navas leaving Real for PSG before the end of the transfer window, effectively demoting the 26-year-old down to the role of deputy.
Rather than take on that responsibility in Paris, RMC Sport claims that Areola has indicated that he is willing to move to the Bernabeu as the replacement for Navas.
The report suggests that the Frenchman had initially wanted to stay at the club that he has served for nine years, until changing his mind to take on a new challenge.
The two clubs have been drawn to play each other in the Champions League group stages.
