Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti names close to full squad for Friday's La Liga clash with Real Betis at Bernabeu.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has been able to name close to full squad for Friday's La Liga clash with Real Betis at Bernabeu.

Los Blancos were missing nine players for last weekend's 1-1 draw with Cadiz, as Ancelotti took the chance to rest Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior and Thibaut Courtois.

Luka Modric, meanwhile, was absent through suspension, while Luka Jovic (muscle), David Alaba (adductor), Isco (groin), Marcelo (muscle) and Gareth Bale (back) were unavailable through injury.

Benzema, Vinicius and Courtois have all been recalled to the squad for the team's final La Liga match of the season against Real Betis.

Meanwhile, Modric returns to the club following suspension, and Jovic, Isco, Marcelo and Bale have proved their fitness in training to make themselves available for selection.

Eden Hazard, who is only just back from a leg operation, has also been included despite fears that the foot problem that he picked up against Cadiz would rule him out of this contest.

As a result, Alaba is the only first-team absentee, with the Austria international not being declared fit to take on the Green and Whites despite returning to training following an adductor problem.

"[David] Alaba is going to train with the rest of the group from Monday onwards," Ancelotti told reporters, with the defender bidding to be fit for the Champions League final against Liverpool.

The 29-year-old has been on the sidelines for Los Blancos since aggravating an abductor problem during the first leg of his team's Champions League semi-final with Manchester City on April 26.

Alaba was an unused substitute in the second leg against Man City at Bernabeu and has missed Real Madrid's last four league matches with the problem; it had been thought that he would be involved against Real Betis, but his full focus is now on being fit for the Champions League final.

Bale could make his final La Liga appearance for Real Madrid on Friday, as the Wales international prepares to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of June, although Ancelotti has admitted that he has not yet decided whether the attacker will be involved due to a recent back problem.

"He trained today, but still isn't at 100%. We'll have to see tomorrow whether he's fit enough to be on the bench or if he's left out. I have to leave two players in the stands and that's not easy. He may feature and he may not," the Italian told reporters.

"Everyone knows that his contract is up and whether or not he plays tomorrow isn't so important, what's important is that he has been a part of this club's history and and will be remembered by all Real Madrid fans. He has written some important pages in this club's history and it's normal that everyone recognises that."

Marcelo and Isco are another two players expected to leave the club this summer, but Ancelotti has said that there have not been any conversations over possible send-offs.

"I haven't spoken to them about it because they're just focused on our game on 28 May. Marcelo and Isco are back and involved and we've got a virtually fully-fit squad. I'll play the players who are most in need of game time ahead of the match on the 28th," said the club's head coach.

Real Madrid, who have won 26 of their 37 league games this term, secured the La Liga title at the end of April and will be bidding to end their 2021-22 campaign with 88 points.
