Johan Cruyff: Jose Mourinho "misses something"

Johan Cruyff claims that having not played at the highest level, Jose Mourinho "misses something" as a coach.

Barcelona and Netherlands legend Johan Cruyff believes that Jose Mourinho is a good coach despite missing "something".

The 65-year-old says that having not played at the highest level, the Real Madrid boss falls short in some areas that he can notice.

"He is a very good coach, but he has never played the game himself," Cruyff told Cadena COPE.

"He misses something and that shows. Those of us who have played notice certain details. That does not mean that he is not a good coach, though.

"He has a lot of good players and he could get more out of some of them. But you have to give them freedom."

Mourinho has been the Real Madrid coach since 2010.
