Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has tweeted a picture of the shoulder injury that he suffered in Tuesday's Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Spanish international picked up the injury following a high challenge from Taras Stepanenko, who was sent off for the lunge.
Ramos initially continued in the Group A clash, but could not complete the match and was later replaced by Nacho in Real Madrid's third enforced change of the night.
It is understood that the central defender has suffered a dislocated shoulder, but he has vowed to "come back stronger" from the blow.
Always with a smile, whatever happens. Working hard to come back stronger. #HalaMadrid pic.twitter.com/02d9UrSaUg
