Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane refuses to comment on the European Super League, telling reporters to direct their questions to Florentino Perez instead.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has refused to make his feelings known on the European Super League.

Los Blancos are one of 12 founder members of the breakaway continental competition - chaired by Real president Florentino Perez - but the initiative has been met with widespread criticism from all corners of the game.

Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola have already voiced their disapproval at the project, but Zidane refused to comment on the Super League when asked by journalists.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of Real's La Liga clash with Cadiz, Zidane said: "That's a question for one person: the president. I'm here to talk about the game, not to talk about other things. The rest is not my job.

"I'm not going to give you my opinion. Maybe you say that I don't get involved and that's true, because what I like to do is coach."

Real Madrid, along with Chelsea and Manchester City, have been hit with the threat of expulsion from the Champions League semi-finals after signing up to the Super League, but Perez has claimed that the tournament will help"save football".
