Carlo Ancelotti surprised by 'easy' Galatasaray win

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti says that he was shocked by the ease of his side's 4-1 win over Galatasaray.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that he was surprised his side managed to net four goals against Galatasaray in the Champions League.

The Italian said that he was shocked by the "easiness" of the match, considering that his team played much of it with 10 men.

Sergio Ramos was given his marching orders early on, but goals from Gareth Bale, Alvaro Arbeloa, Angel di Maria and Isco saw off the Turkish outfit 4-1.

"After being left 10 players on the pitch, I didn't expect a game of that easiness," Ancelotti told Spor Smart. "We made some changes in our system. My team reacted well in the second half and that's how we won it.

"Juve are one step ahead of Galatasaray, because a draw will be enough for them, but Galatasaray have very passionate supporters. They can win this game. It will be a perfect match."

The result fired Real through to the knockout stage of the competition.
