Reading defender Adrian Mariappa has insisted that he and his teammates will "give it everything" against Liverpool this weekend.

The Royals remain at the bottom of the Premier League table following their 2-0 defeat to Southampton last weekend.

"We can't do anything about that game now and we have to keep going," Mariappa told the club's official website. "We take the positives, move forward and look to the next game now. We'll prepare the best we can and give it everything against Liverpool next Saturday."

The Royals have six games left to secure survival in the top flight.
