Reading boss Nigel Adkins believes that he has a squad capable of bouncing back to the Premier League following their relegation back to the Championship.

Reading boss Nigel Adkins is confident that his side have what it takes to win promotion back to the Premier League following their relegation this season.

The Royals suffered their 21st defeat of the campaign as they lost 2-0 to Manchester City earlier this evening.

Adkins told Sky Sports News: "You have got to grind out your results, every game is going to be tough, but we are looking forward to it because a lot of players here have been in the situation to go up.

"There is a lot of positivity about the place. On the training ground the players are certainly in a positive mind set and everyone wants to be in and is looking forward to the future."

Reading finish the season away to West Ham United on Sunday.
