Paul Murray and Ticketus look to join forces to try to take control of Rangers.

Paul Murray has reached an agreement with Ticketus that will allow them to be part of the same consortium that bids for control of Rangers tomorrow.

Murray's Blue Knights group had been working out a deal with the firm, whose money financed Craig Whyte's takeover.

The discussions were aimed at trying to ensure they were not added to the list of the club's creditors.

According to followfollow.com, Ticketus have asked Rangers for just £10m as opposed to the original £27m debt should the Blue Knights gain control of the club.

This amount would be paid over nine years with no repayments in the first two years. Rangers would then pay around £1.4m per year over the remaining seven years but only if Rangers qualify for European football, in which case there will be no repayments in that year. There is no interest charged on the £10m.

Rangers currently sit second in the SPL.
