Annan Athletic boss hails "oustanding" players

Annan Athletic manager Jim Chapman praises his players following their shock 2-1 victory away to Rangers.

Annan Athletic manager Jim Chapman has lavished praise on their players following their shock 2-1 victory away to Rangers in the Scottish Third Division.

The Galabankies boss described his side's performance as "outstanding" and insisted that they were worthy winners at Ibrox Stadium.

"My players were outstanding. To me, we fully merited the three points," he told BBC Sport.

Ally Love and David Hopkirk were on target for the minnows, with Andy Little's reply not enough to prevent the Gers from slipping to their first home defeat of the league campaign.
