Report: Benfica prepare Julio Cesar approach

Benfica will reportedly make a bid for Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

Benfica have reportedly identified Julio Cesar as a potential replacement for goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

The Portuguese side's current stopper confirmed earlier today that he will move to Spanish champions Atletico Madrid.

The Daily Mail reports that Benfica will make an approach for the Queens Park Rangers keeper, who helped Brazil reach the semi-finals at this summer's World Cup.

Cesar, who has two years left on his contract with QPR, joined MLS side Toronto on loan in February.
