Queens Park Rangers forward Djibril Cisse has no complaints over the red cards which have cost him seven games since February and he is determined to 'pay back' manager Mark Hughes.

Queens Park Rangers striker Djibril Cisse is remorseful about his two red cards and keen to repay manager Mark Hughes's faith in him.

The 30-year-old moved to Loftus Road for a fee of £4m in January and he has played five games, scoring three goals.

However, Cisse has also been sent off twice, meaning that he has missed seven games through suspension.

He has now served his bans and is back in contention for Rangers' game with Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow evening.

"I'm proud of what the boys have done without me," said Cisse. "I am certain we will stay up. I can't be sure of my place but I will fight hard and see what I can do for the last four games.

"I deserved the two reds and there's nothing you can do. You have to work like I am doing. You have to keep your level in training and try to do your best.

"Mark Hughes wasn't happy with the decisions and wasn't happy with me. But you have to put your head down, listen and I have to pay him back."

Cisse scored against Spurs on his Premier League debut for Liverpool in 2004.
