Harry Redknapp wasted no time in criticising the fringe players in his Queens Park Rangers squad following their exit from the Capital One Cup at the hands of Burton Albion.
An Adam McGurk free kick secured a 1-0 victory for the League Two side in the second round on Wednesday night, and left Redknapp questioning the quality of the players to whom he gave an opportunity in the competition.
"It was a poor performance," the QPR boss told Sky Sports News. "We gave the lads who haven't been playing an opportunity to show what they can do, and they showed me what they can do - and it wasn't an awful lot.
"We had chances in the first half, and I thought we could have gone on to win the game, but we faded in the second half and I was disappointed."
QPR return to Premier League action against Sunderland on Saturday afternoon.
