Queens Park Rangers midfielder Shaun Derry has revealed that he started laughing in the dressing room following his recent red card against Manchester United.
Derry had his appeal rejected by the Football Association on Wednesday after he saw red for a controversial tangle with Ashley Young at Old Trafford.
Replays at the time showed Young in an offside position before the offence took place, while the winger was also accused of falling too easily under the challenge.
"In the dressing room I just started laughing because I couldn't believe what had happened," Derry told the R's official website. "Everyone thought it was going to be overturned and put to bed."
Derry will be suspended for his side's trip to West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League this weekend.
