Zlatan Ibrahimovic reportedly held talks regarding a potential return to Paris Saint-Germain, before committing his future to AC Milan earlier this year.
The Swedish star signed a one-year extension to his contract with the Serie A outfit in April, which will see the striker play with the Italian club beyond the age of 40.
However, according to Le Parisien, Ibrahimovic and his agent Mino Raiola explored the opportunity to return to Paris last season and were in negotiations with the French club's sporting director Leonardo.
The deal eventually fell through with both parties unable to reach an agreement, as PSG had other targets that they wished to pursue at the time.
Ibrahimovic had a successful four-year spell in the French capital, scoring 156 goals in 180 appearances between 2012 and 2016.
The Swede also won the Ligue 1 title in each of his four seasons at the club as well as two Coupe de France trophies and three Coupe de la Ligue crowns.
