Sports Mole previews the Ligue 1 clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Amiens, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Twenty-five points separate league leaders PSG from their opponents - eight more than Amiens have accumulated so far this term.

PSG have had a typically dominant season so far, seven points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table and winning their Champions League group.

In all competitions, they have won their last five, are unbeaten in their last nine and have won a total of 20 of their 24 games.

In their last three games, the reigning French champions have scored at least four goals on each occasion, conceding only once in that run.

Tuchel's side are comfortably the top scorers in Ligue 1, with their tally of 39 goals from just 17 games 11 ahead of their nearest challengers in Bordeaux and Lyon, who have both played a game extra.

PSG also boast the joint-best defensive record in the league, level on just nine conceded with Reims - a fearsome opponent for Amiens.

The struggling outfit, by comparison, have the second-worst defensive record in the division, with their 32 goals conceded ahead of only bottom-of-the-league Toulouse.

Amiens are also winless in their last five league games, with their 1-1 draw against Dijon in their most recent league game putting an end to a four-game losing run.

However, Luka Elsner's side did pick up a rare win - one of just two since the start of November - in the Coupe de la Ligue last time out, beating Rennes 3-2 at home.

Team News

PSG head coach Thomas Tuchel is without a handful of central players for this one but certainly does not lack the squad depth to deal with that.

The German has been left short at centre-back due to Abdou Diallo's suspension and Presnel Kimpembe's injury, while defensive midfielder Idrissa Gueye is also out.

Edinson Cavani is also a doubt, but Tuchel has plenty of attacking options at his disposal and the Uruguayan has slipped down the pecking order in any case.

Amiens boss Elsner also has four players likely to be unavailable for the trip to Paris.

Cristophe Jallet, Sehrou Guirassy and Mathieu Bodmer are major doubts, while Prince Desir Gouano is out until next year.

Paris Saint-Germain possible starting lineup:
Navas; Meunier, Silva, Marquinhos, Bernat; Paredes, Verratti; Di Maria, Neymar; Mbappe, Icardi

Amiens possible starting lineup:
Gurtner; Calabresi, Chedjou, Dibassy, Lefort; Blin, Gnahore; Akolo, Kakuta, Diabate; Konate

We say: Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 Amiens

All the signs point to a comfortable, routine win for the Ligue 1 leaders. They are in fine form and are lethal going forward, up against a struggling side with a poor defensive record.
