Paris Saint-Germain 'line up Pep Guardiola as next manager'

Paris Saint-Germain reportedly intend to try to tempt Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola into a move to the Parc des Princes.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reportedly emerged as a target for Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite the Spaniard's success at the Etihad Stadium, there has recently been speculation regarding the long-term future of the 48-year-old.

Guardiola has reiterated that he intends to see out his contract at City, while also dismissing suggestions that there is no break clause in his existing deal.

However, according to Le 10 Sport, PSG are ready to launch an approach for Guardiola ahead of next season.

While Thomas Tuchel has enjoyed a strong campaign as boss of the Ligue 1 giants, there is allegedly concern over the plans of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, who are yet to show any signs that they want to pen new contracts.

The report adds that PSG would be interested in Barcelona legend Xavi becoming Guardiola's assistant in the dugout.
