Half-Time Report: Reims ahead despite early Paris Saint-Germain goal

Reims come from behind to take a 2-1 lead into the break in the opening match of the Ligue 1 season against defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Reims recovered from conceding an early goal to head into half time with a 2-1 lead over Paris Saint-Germain in the opening tie of the Ligue 1 season this evening.

The French champions needed just seven minutes to break the deadlock as Javier Pastore played the ball forward for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to wrong-foot Johnny Placide in the Reims goal.

The Swedish international had a chance to add his second inside 20 minutes when he was brought down in the box, but Placide managed to save his penalty.

The miss proved costly a couple of minutes later when Prince Oniangue fired the ball in from a free kick to get the hosts back on level terms.

The visitors continued to see the majority of the possession, but Reims made the most of their chance when Gaetan Charbonnier crossed the ball in for Antoine Devaux to strike from close range and send the hosts into a half-time lead.
