Sports Mole provides score predictions for both of Saturday's MLS playoff fixtures - Philadelphia Union vs. New York Red Bulls and Sporting Kansas City vs. Vancouver Whitecaps.

Philadelphia vs. NY Red Bulls (Saturday, 7.30pm)

Round one of the Eastern Conference playoffs for the MLS Cup begins on Saturday, when New York Red Bulls travel to Subaru Park where they will face Philadelphia Union.

The hosts finished the regular season in second spot, six points better off than this weekend's visitors, who secured their seventh-place finish by one point.

With this encounter being a one-legged tie it is expected to be a cagey affair and the scoreline is likely to remain close throughout the match.

The past meetings between these two teams this campaign also suggests that one team will not run away with the victory, but the hosts should be confident from their second-placed finish in the regular season.

Kansas vs. Vancouver (Saturday, 10.00pm)

Sporting Kansas City welcome Canadian outfit Vancouver Whitecaps to Children's Mercy Park on Saturday, in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs for the MLS Cup.

The home side finished the regular season in third spot, only three points behind Western winners Colorado Rapids, while Vancouver finished sixth and one point above eighth-placed Los Angeles Galaxy.

Going off form, the visitors should be the more confident of the two sides, and that could be the decisive factor on Saturday in what will be a tight game.

Despite not winning many games away from home this season, Vancouver will be looking to exploit the same weaknesses that other teams have most recently managed against Sporting Kansas.
