Bradley Johnson signs new contract with Norwich City

Norwich City announce that Bradley Johnson has signed a new deal with the club until 2018.

Midfielder Bradley Johnson has put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension with Norwich City.

The 28-year-old's previous deal was due to expire at the end of next season, but he will now remain a Canary until the summer of 2018.

Johnson, who joined Norwich from Leeds United in 2011, is enjoying his best ever goalscoring season, having netted eight times in the Championship already for promotion-chasing Norwich.

"I'm over the moon as I've already said how much I love the club and how much I've enjoyed my time here," Johnson told the club website.

"I've got some good memories of playing here, and I want to make some more now by hopefully getting promoted this year. I believe this is a Premier League club, and I've always said that.

"It was disappointing we got relegated but we're on a good run and still in the mix to be promoted. That's one of the reasons I signed; because I believe we will be."

In total, Johnson has made 133 yellow-and-green appearances since joining shortly after Norwich were promoted to the Premier League.
