Half-Time Report: Birmingham two goals to the good against Norwich City

Birmingham City are 2-0 up going into the break of their Championship clash with Norwich City thanks to a goal each from Callum Reilly and Demarai Gray.

Birmingham City go into the break of their Championship clash with Norwich City 2-0 up thanks to goals from Callum Reilly and Demarai Gray this afternoon.

A good start from Norwich culminated in Lewis Grabban connecting with Russell Martin's cross, but his volley went just over the bar.

Reilly put Birmingham in front when his deflected effort trickled past John Ruddy and into the net.

The goal, which came against the run of play, seemed to galvanise Birmingham and they were unlucky not to be awarded a penalty after Clayton Donaldson was pulled back by Martin in the box.

A David Davis drive from range was then tipped around the post by Ruddy as the visitors looked to extend their advantage.

They eventually got a second after the Norwich defence failed to clear on the edge of the box, allowing Gray to curl a fine shot beyond Ruddy.
