Newcastle United midfielder Henri Saivet joins Bursaspor on loan

Newcastle United announce that Henri Saivet has been allowed to sign a season-long loan deal with Bursaspor.

Newcastle United have allowed Henri Saivet to join Bursaspor on a season-long loan deal.

Saviet moved to St James' Park in January 2016, but the Senegalese midfielder has made just eight appearances for the Magpies in all competitions.

Loan spells have previously been spent at Saint-Etienne and Sivasspor, and Newcastle have now allowed the 27-year-old to return to Turkey with Bursaspor.

Saivet made a total of seven starts and five substitute appearances in Turkey's top flight during the second half of the last campaign.

The former Bordeaux player still has just under three years remaining on his contract at Newcastle.
