Newcastle United ready £12m swoop for Wilfried Bony?

Newcastle United are eyeing a £12m summer swoop for Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony, according to a report.

Newcastle United will reportedly bolster their striking options with a £12m bid for Vitesse Arnhem forward Wilfried Bony.

The 24-year-old has been in outstanding form for Arnhem since his arrival from Sparta Prague in 2011 and has notched 46 goals in just 63 appearances.

The Magpies see Bony as the perfect replacement for Demba Ba who left the club in January to join Chelsea, leaving them light on options up front.

However, a big-money bid for Bony should be enough to lure him to the Premier League, reports The Mirror.

Newcastle are set to miss out on former striker Andy Carroll as he is ready to complete a permanent move to West Ham United.
