West Ham boss Sam Allardyce confirms that the club is interested in a move for Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed that he is sending a scout to watch Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony in action on Saturday.

The Ivory Coast international, who has scored 25 goals in 27 games this season, has been linked with a number of clubs across Europe in recent months.

"Our head scout will be at the game [against NAC Breda], as well as other scouts, and that means we're after him," Allardyce told reporters.

"It means we're monitoring everybody that might become available in the summer. More goals is what we need. We look for somebody who is going to get us more goals."

Bony joined Vitesse from Sparta Prague in January 2011.
