Newcastle United to make move for Bojan Krkic?

Newcastle are reportedly chasing Roma forward Bojan Krkic to add depth to their forward line.

Newcastle United could make a move for Roma forward Bojan Krkic.

The Magpies boss Alan Pardew is hoping to strengthen his forward line and, with a deal for target Luuk de Jong looking unlikely, the Spaniard could be the ideal man.

Leon Best and Peter Lovenkrands have already left the club this summer, with the future of Sengalese striker Demba Ba also up in the air, which could leave Newcastle short of attacking options nest season.

Pardew is keen to avoid any weaknesses in his squad and is hoping to build on last season's successes by bringing the former Barcelona youngster to St James' Park.

The 21-year-old joined Roma from the Catalan giants, who reportedly still hold a £10.5 million buy-back clause. However, Newcastle are rumoured to have contacted Roma over the La Masia product's availability, with reports that they could offer Davide Santon in a part-exchange deal.

The Serie A club have been looking to sure up their defensive options this summer and could be tempted to accept the deal.

Newcastle have already signed Romain Amalfitano and Gael Bigirimana this summer.
