Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi has suggested that he could leave the club at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old will be a free agent in the summer, and he is yet to be offered a new contract by the Magpies.
Ameobi joined Newcastle's academy in 1995 before signing his first professional deal at St James' Park in 2000.
"After the summer, my future is unclear," he told the Shields Gazette.
"Basically, I'll do what I've always done. Like I've always said, I've never taken [playing for Newcastle] for granted. Every time I step on that pitch, I relish it.
"When it does finally end, it'll be a sad moment, but at the moment my focus is trying to help this club."
Ameobi has scored one goal in 20 appearances for Newcastle so far this season.
