Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor believes that he and his teammates must give "100%" in order to stay away from the relegation zone.

Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor has urged his teammates to show "100% commitment" in order to beat the drop from the Premier League.

The Magpies are now six points above the relegation zone following their 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

"Everybody needs to perform like that again," Taylor told The Chronicle. "I don't think we'll go too far wrong.

"We just need to keep that in the team. We must give the fans what they deserve and that's 100% commitment."

Newcastle take on Liverpool next Saturday at St James' Park.
